Colorado Fourteeners 
 
Colorado has the highest average elevation of any state (6800 feet) with more than 2 vertical miles between its highest (Mt. Elbert - 14,433') and lowest (Arikaree River - 3,315') points.  It is home to 58 named peaks more than 14,000 feet high.
