Seismometer Networks and Locations
This interactive map shows active seismometer networks in Colorado. Networks operated by different entities are shown with different colors. The individual seismometers in each network are shown as circles that can be cilicked on to gain information about that particular station. Seismometer networks are necessary to accurately measure location, magnitude, and intensity of seismic activity for research and public safety. You may notice that coverage in Colorado is sparse and unevenly distributed.
